Two strategic bombers found by the U.S. military at the Korean peninsula were flown in a show of force. President Donald Trump held discussions with some top defense officials. He sought to plan with them mechanisms on how to best respond to threats from North Korea.

Tensions have been ongoing for quite some time now between the world super power and North Korea. The testing of weapons by Pyongyang is sending tremors among citizens. The North Korean leader Kim Jong Un and Trump have gotten involved in a series of bellicose exchanges.

North Korea in the recent weeks carried out its sixth nuclear test and the launching of two missiles over Japan resulted in much speculation. The country has plans underway to develop a nuclear-tipped missile with the capacity to hit the whole of the U.S. mainland.

The U.S. military made a statement outlining that it conducted drills with Japanese fighters shortly after the encounter with South Korea. It was the first time the U.S. bombers were engaging in training with fighters from both South Korea and Japan at night.

The United States has flown two B-1B supersonic bombers as a show of force and it targeted deterring the North Korean aggression. The reported hacking attack by the North has been talked about widely around the globe. If confirmed, analysts say that it might turn out to be a major blow for South Korea and this is happening at a moment it is having strained relations with North Korea.

A top U.S government official opined, “The briefing and discussion focused on a range of options to respond to any form of North Korean aggression or, if necessary, to prevent North Korea from threatening the United States and its allies with nuclear weapons.”

The truth of the matter is that the U.S and North Korea are both tough enemies for each other. If it happens that they get to that point of confrontation of the war front, a lot stands to be lost in terms of properties and lives.
