First Innings of Sri Lanka was not stable from the start itself as the first wicket fell for just 11 runs, in the form of Upul Tharanga who was caught by KL Rahul on the ball of Ishant Sharma.
The pitch clearly conveyed that it would help the seamers as Ishant Sharma took 5 wickets for just 58 runs.
Though the Lankan innings did not stay for long, as Sri Lanka was all-out for just 201 runs in their first innings. Giving India a lead of 111 runs.

In return the Sri Lankan bowlers came back with a strong vision, as they dismissed three Indian batsmen for the score of just 21.
