This past weekend was particularly exciting for the entertainment industry because it marked the 60th Grammy awards. As usual, the event was filled with glamor but the most important aspect was the Grammys 2018 winners list.

The Grammy Awards were characterized by the attendance of many stars in the music industry and of course, there was the outstanding fashion. The awards recognized a lot of artists for their artistry in various tracks and albums released in 2017. Bruno Mars walked away with the awards in the top categories, i.e., the album and record of the year thanks to his hit “24K Magic”. He also managed to scoop an award for his song “That’s What I Like.” Mars managed to walk away with a total of seven awards, arguably securing the most wins among all the Grammy 2018 award winners.

Rap sensation Kendrick Lamar dominated the rap scene not only with his impressive opening performance but he also managed to win the award for the best rap album with his album “Damn.” He also won the Best Rap/Sung Performance for his song “Loyalty” with Rihanna. Lamar managed to beat out various other big artists such as Jay Z who that had been nominated in those categories. The young rapper was also awarded the best rap for his song “Humble.”

Some of the other big categories such as the best vocal albums had equally honorable wins with Ed Sheeran securing this category with his album “Divide.”. The British singer also won the best solo performance with his hit song, “Shape of You.” Male artists arguably dominated the Grammys 2018 winners list but Alessia Cara secured a big win for females after winning the best new artist category.

There were more than 80 awards that were handed out at the event which means the list of winners is quite long. It is also worth noting that there were electrifying performances from various artists including Rihanna, Kendrick Lamar, Lady Gaga, Bruno Mars, Cardi B, Bryson Tiller, Pink, Sam Smith and DJ Khaled among others.
