Samsung has launched its Galaxy S7 and S7 edge in India at a price of Rs 48,900 and Rs 56,900 respectively. The launch comes within two weeks of the global unveiling which is expected to help the company bolster sale in the slowdown smartphone industry. Prebookings have been sweetened by a Rs 8,200 VR headset for free till March 17 when the phone will be about to go on sale on March 18. Samsung has also included a Concierge service which allows S7 devices customers to jump the cue at around 400 service centers. They will also enjoy picking up and drop facility with the option of being provided with a standby device.

Galaxy S7 is 5.1-inchs in length with about 7.9 thicknesses and weighs around 152 gram. S7 edge measure 5.5-inchs in length, 7.7 in thickness and weighs 157 grams. S7 has 2560*1440 (534ppi) Quad HD Super AMOLED display while S7 Edge has 2560*1440 (577ppi) Quad HD Super AMOLED display

Both smartphones have been packaged in an always-plain view giving users the chance of viewing date and time alongside notification without the necessity of unlocking the device. They have been constructed of a 3D glass and metal material and are both dust and water-resistant. They can sustain 30 minutes when submerged in one and a half meter of water.

Samsung’s octa-center Exynos 8890 processor and a 4GB RAM are powering both devices. Both are using Android 6.0 Marshmallow alongside TouchWiz UI skin. The CPU is about 44% more powerful than its predecessor and has an enhanced GPU that displays more quality graphics than the one in Galaxy S6. S7 Edge’s user interface has a two-segment application that allows users to quickly download and use application by swiping inwards from the edges.

Samsung has noted that the two devices are using Dual Pixel technology that works like a human eye. 100% of the pixels are used to focus resulting in a faster focus while taking a picture. Both devices have 12MP back and 5MP front cameras. Samsung has guaranteed that the back camera is flush with the body
