Bemis (BMS) signed a deal to acquire the South American rigid plastic packaging operations of Emplal Participações, a Brazilian maker of plastic packaging.

The transaction is expected to close by the end of this year, Bemis said in a statement on Tuesday that didn’t disclose the price. The business being acquired includes two facilities in Brazil and had net sales of about $75 million in 2014.

Shares in Neenah, Wisconsin-based Bemis were flat after the closing bell at $46.44, in a 52-week range of $34.34 to $49.44.
