England’s gigantic win at Birmingham came with a heavy blow as James Anderson had succumbed to injuries that would not allow him to play the 4th Test here at Trent Bridge Cricket Ground.

Instead, Stuart Broad would be leading the team with his bowling strategies. This is his fifth test without Anderson by his side. His bowling spell would be joined by the likes of Steven Finn and Mark Wood with different variants of bowling traits.

The playing XI as below:

England: Cook, A Lyth, J Bairstow, B Stokes, I Bell, J Root, J Buttler, M Ali, S Broad, M Wood and S Finn

Australia: D Warner, C Rogers, M Clarke, A Voges, S Smith, S Marsh, P Nevill, M Johnson, M Starc, J Hazlewood and N Lyon.

Ashes 2015 toss

All eyes would be gazed upon Michael Clarke of Australia, and the complete batting strategies would more or less depend on both the teams.

With a dismal show of batting in the last three tests, Australia again looks forward to an impressive play by Peter Neville too.

The spotlight remains on Shaun Marsh to pick up his form and get back into the play. While England looks forward to making their mark with Adam Lyth as to justify a root stand for the opening batsmen.

The pitch condition more or less looks good for both the batting sides as Trent Bridge pitch seems to be quite slow, and the ball would be coming low for the batsmen.

So it would be up to the bowlers to settle down the score with their bowling spells. The weather is still not justified as there is a probability of little rain on the ground.

Substitutions are not much within the teams with only Anderson out there dressing room managing the guys while Australia bounces back with the same team and possible major strategies involved for a big win this time.
