Videocon Launches Z55 Dash Smartphone For Rs 6490 Via Flipkart
Videocon launched its new smartphone, the Z55 Dash in India on Sunday, August 30, 2015.
The Z55 Dash that is made in India is now available on Flipkart at a price of Rs.
A 1.4GHz octa-core processor equips the handset. It has a 5-inch display and 8GB storage expandable up to 32GB.
Jerold Pereira, CEO of Videocon said during the launch: “By manufacturing the handsets locally, Videocon Mobile Phones endeavours to offer affordability and stylishness to Indian consumers and bring in a unique and never before seen mobile experience in Indian mobile market”.
“We are excited to partner with Flipkart to launch our latest innovation in the market”, he added.
The smartphone has 8MP rear automatic camera with LED flash and also features a 5MP selfie.
The device runs on Android 4.4.2 KitKat out of the box.
Another key feature is the Protective Camera Lens made of Corning Glass to enhance image quality.
The device supports 3G but not 4G and is having a 2200mAh battery.
To promote the handset, Videocon has bundled a 90 days free subscription of V-Secure antivirus and a GPS-powered safety app along with it.
Many online shopping portals like Flipkart and Amazon are promoting new handsets to get a headstart to the product.
First it was Xiaomi Mi on Flipkart on Micromax Yureka on Amazon that exclusively partnered for online sales.
Videocon, an Indian company, is into manufacturing of consumer products like TVs, washing machines, ACs, refrigerators, microwave ovens and other products.
