New Flexible Transistors Can Revolutionize Wearable Technology
As with all high-market potentials, there has been a lot of research, development, and enhancement placed into anything that in one form or another relates to wearable technology. These enhancements to the technology, have led to flexible wearable technology.
For example, the newest buzz in the development line is a transistor, which can stretch double the length, without losing any conductivity. This would prove a critical revolutionary factor, for example in devices, which are designed to monitor sensors while one works out.

An individual straight from Stanford University, Zhenan Bao, stated, “Transistors are the basic component of nearly all the electronic devices, which we use today. In the near future, we will be able to make wearable electronics that are stretchable and able to conform to the human body.”
The transistors, which are in question were designed and developed by an international collaboration, which was headed by Bao. This transistor was created in both a polymer material, which was both thin, as well as flexible.
Is this device sustainable
The major problem, with extending the range, or flexibility of transistors is that normally the technology either breaks or the conductivity in the technology wears off, which then causes it to malfunction.
However, according to Bao, the team tested the new technology, through stretching it repeatedly over 100 times. The results gleaned from this exercise, was that the transistors showed no sign of cracking. Furthermore, there was a significantly low loss of conductivity, which aids the theory that this technology can be used to monitor various variables, of individuals throughout the day.
Examples of this technology could come in the form of a glove, with the usual sensors adapt at picking up various data or information, about or for said wearer. However, at the same time, the transistors could be incorporated into a tattoo like a patch on the skin, which could display basic information such as vitals.
