In Game Applications Now Available On Facebook Messenger
Facebook Messenger, is already a widespread social media, messaging application. However, those who weren’t using it previously, or those that had a new incentive to want to make use of it more often, mainly the new ‘in-application’ games that are available for contacts entertainment.
The feature was rolled out on Tuesday and enables subscribers to play a wide variety of arcade style games. The list of games includes popular names such as Pac-man, and of course, Space Invaders. So far, there are over 18 various games available for an individual to initiate with a friend over the social messaging application.
How the In application game feature works
The first thing to note is that this feature is not yet available in all countries. The total country count, where the feature is available totals 30 countries. However, the good news is that this feature is available on both android, and iOS platforms.
There are two ways that a user can play a game in the messaging application. The first of which, is to simply start a solo game, while waiting for your friend, family member, and so forth to reply. The another way is to challenge the contact that you are into a game.
In order to start a game, one is required to go into their conversation with an individual, then find the game icon – which looks like a console controller, select a game and start playing.
More about Facebook messenger
It is clear that this feature is part of Facebook’s strategic plan to enhance the usability performance of their messenger application, in turn – increasing the total time that individuals spend on the Messenger application.
Facebook Messenger, is by no means a meager social-talking application, with over one billion users. It may rival even with the likes of WhatsApp. This shows the evolution of Facebook Messenger, as when it was first released in 2014, it was not taken quietly with the enthusiasm that it retains today.
