Famed Comedian, Bill Cosby Accused Of Sexual Assault
A former actor and Playboy Playmate Victoria Valentino have accused famed comedian, Bill Cosby of assaulting her sexually four decades ago. Cosby, 78 presented himself just outside the Philadelphia courthouse was ordered not to contact the accuser. He submitted his passport to the court officials and posted a bond of $1 million.
Cosby, who has been accused of sexually assaulting the woman after forcefully plying her with alcohol and drugs, thanked Elizabeth McHugh, the Elkin Park’s District Court Judge politely as the brief proceeding ended. Cosby, who was accompanied by his two lawyers, has never been indicted before for any criminal case, his fatherly figure has been accused dozens of times of similar misconduct by different women. After the proceedings, the frail looking actor was taken to police precinct in the vicinity for fingerprinting and booking.
Valentino Grateful and Elated
While talking to media, Valentino said that she was grateful and elated because Cosby finally has been indicted and will be happy to open the champagne to celebrate the occasion with other women who have charged Cosby of similar misconduct. She expressed happiness after knowing that the accused was brought to the court in Pennsylvania and tearfully said that she never believed that she would be able to see him vulnerable. According to her, these new developments complement her faith in justice and karma.
More than dozens of women have accused the old actor in magazines and on television, in memoirs and op-eds saying that he drugged them, groped and raped them and humiliated them. However, no one came forward, put the comedy legend behind the bars, and accuse him of being a criminal until now. This new case is an addition to the mountain of legal suits that Cosby is facing in Massachusetts, where the actor lives, with his spouse and Southern California.
The statement issued by the lawyers of Cosby says that the sexual assault charges were unjustified and politically motivated.
