Apple To Launch New iPhone In March Event
Apple is expected to launch the new 4-inch iPhone during the recently announced event that will take place on March 21.
The iPhone 5Se is the latest smartphone that the company has been developing to target customers who prefer smaller devices compared to the large iPhone 6 and 6S. Available information about the device suggests that it will have a similar appearance to the iPhone 5 especially in size, but it will have features that are like those of the company’s flagships. It will also be an upgrade for the 4-inch category.
Some of the similarities of the device with the iPhone 6 include the A8 chip and the M8 processor among other powerful features. The launch event has also been viewed as an interesting move for the company because it has been holding launches for its iPhones in Autumn and that has been the tradition since 2011. However, things will be different this year because of the March Launch.
Apple CEO Tim Cook is also expected to talk about the ongoing legal battle with the FBI. He is also expected to reveal a few other devices including the highly anticipated Apple Watch 2 though it has not been confirmed. Rumor has it that the company is also launching a 9.7-inch iPad Pro that will have similar specs as the 12.9-inch iPad Pro that debuted last year. Cook is also expected to launch the successor to the iPad Air 2 following the lack of an offering in that category during last year’s launch.
A Virtual Reality headset from headset from Apple has also been one of the most anticipated devices from the company, and there is a chance that the tech company might announce a product in the VR category during the launch. The prospects about a VR headset from Apple came to light after the company’s application for a patent in VR was approved in 2014. The patent revealed that the VR headset will require an iPhone to be inserted for it to work.
